I Think My Graduation Was Today…

Reblogged from vladimirblue

vladimirblue:

I don’t get why people participate in a graduation ceremony after their first two years in a community college, even though they clearly plan on transferring to a real university. It’s like graduation ceremonies for middle school… it’s pointless… You’re going to high school!

Is that all your doing? Are you done with school now?

Your high school ceremony signaled the end of 12 years in grade school! Not everyone can afford, or even wants to go further than that. So yeah, high school graduation, it’s a big deal. To me, a community college ceremony, makes your high school or college graduation look like it’s something less and makes it less appreciated.

I’m glad i didn’t go to my ceremony today. I know this isn’t the end of any grand school experience. Community college was bull, to me. I’m finally going to university with serious teachers, a serious curriculum, and serious students.

You’ll see me at my FSU ceremony… even if I’m one in 234348274.

EDIT: To any of you who went to theirs today, relax. This is just my opinion and why I chose not to go.

You are soooo nerdaly excited for FSU.
