Props to the Apple Store
So, yesterday after realizing I would not get a gift I asked for, I went online to the Apple.com online store, and ordered something that I wanted. When I did so, I made a mistake, and realized that I accidentally had it shipped to my old address.
I figured it would be okay, because the item I ordered would not ship for two months (it was on back-order). So I called the Apple store to change the shipping address. When I talked to the Apple Store staff member on the phone, he told me he could not change the address until it actually shipped. And that I would have to go to Apple.com after it shipped, but before it was delivered to have Apple.com send a notification to FedEx, to send it to a different address than what was on the label. As much as I complained to the person on the phone, he told me that was my only option.
A few hours later, in my email I got a survey about my experience with the telephone operator for the Apple.com store in my email. I filled it out saying my issue was NOT resolved.
Today, I got a phone call from the “Apple Survey Response Team” and they apologized for the issue, and promised to resolve it on their own, without me having to wait for it to ship. They also told me they would follow up with me and call again on Tuesday.
Yay for Apple fixing my problem. Talk about good customer service!
